Obituary for Bill McNeely
Cherryville - Mr. William F. "Bill" McNeely, 80, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at his residence.
Bill was born in Cleveland County, NC on October 19, 1941 a son of the late Tommy Lee McNeely and Mazelle Beam McNeely. He was co-founder and President of McNeely Oil Company, Inc. of Cherryville for 45 years. Bill was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and attended Jesus Servant Ministries in Cherryville. He enjoyed restoring John Deere tractors, dirt track racing and going to Lake James. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Brenda Schrum McNeely of the home; a son, Brent McNeely and wife LuAndra; a daughter, Jodi Beam and husband Scott all of Cherryville; five grandchildren, Devan Beam (Tiffany), Leah O'Connor (Michael), Jordan Beam (Garren), Zack McNeely (Natalie) and Macie Beam and five great grandchildren, Aussie, Mayson-Kate, Maddox, Miller and Brooklynn.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Heffner officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
