Cherryville - Mr. Tony G. Cook, 69, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby.
Tony was born on August 6, 1952 in Wake County, NC a son of the late J.C. Cook and Edna Towery Cook. He was retired as a salesman from Deb's Auto Sales in Forest City and Frank H. Conner's Construction.
Survivors include a daughter, Christy Cook of Cherryville; two sons, Roger Cook of Forest City and Chad Cook of Cherryville; three sisters, Carolyn Mellon and Patsy Buchanan both of Cherryville and Candace Cook of Grover; two brothers, J.R. Cook of Santee, SC and Wayne Cook of Cherryville; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren and special friends, Marie and Janie Green
The body will lie in state on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home. The family will not be present during this time.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Robert Wise officiating.
Burial will be at North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery.
