Obituary for Ruby Tedder (Jenkins)
Bessemer City - Mrs. Ruby Jenkins Tedder, 91, a kind and gentle soul, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
Mrs. Tedder was born in Gaston County, NC on November 6, 1929 a daughter of the late Lee Jenkins and Vivian Mauney Jenkins. She retired from Vision Hosiery in Belmont after 46 years. Mrs. Tedder was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for all, especially her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brothers, Dorcus "Red" Jenkins and Raymond Jenkins; sisters, Mozelle Eaker, Ruth Dellinger, and Viola Dellinger.
Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Ronald Tedder (Jo Elaine) of Cherryville; Bobby Tedder (Connie) of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Jonathan Tedder (Traci) of Dallas; Dr. Laurie Campbell (Matt) of Charlotte; three great grandchildren, Parker and Bennett Campbell and Emma Tedder. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and Hospice that cared for Ruby during her stay at Carolina Care.
Visitation will be from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating.
Burial will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
