Crouse - Mrs. Ruby Lee Black Clough, 94, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Atrium Health - Lincoln.
Mrs. Clough was born on March 15, 1929 in Gaston County a daughter of the late Stowe Black and Mae Gilmore Black. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle in Newton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Goodman; a granddaughter, Ashley Wray; a sister, Faye Quinn and a brother, Paul "Tobe" Black.
Survivors include her husband Stanley Clough of the home; two daughters, Vickey Wray and husband Ralph of Shelby and Mickey Travis and husband Nick of Lincolnton; four sons, Danny Pfeifer of Cherryville, Robert Pfeifer and wife Deborah of Crouse; Jeff Pfeifer and wife Susan of Crouse; Terry Pfeifer and wife Amie of Cherryville; a son-in-law, Wade Goodman of Crouse; a sister, Annie Mae Short of Cherryville; a brother, Johnny Black of Vale; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Bennett officiating.
Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
