Cherryville - Obed Benitez Perez, 42, of JC Dellinger Road, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
Born in Mexico on September 20, 1978, he was the son of Jose Luis Benitez Rojo and Margarita Perez Gomez. He was a mechanic at Parkdale Mills and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Diaz Rivera and three daughters, Katie Benitez Diaz, Kelly Benitez Diaz and Itzel Benitez Diaz.
A Funeral Service will he held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel.
The burial will follow the service in the Cherryville City Cemetery.
