Obituary for Margaret Rayfield Fourshee
Bessemer City - Mrs. Margaret Rayfield "Doodle" Fourshee, 88, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cherryville.
Mrs. Fourshee was born on January 31, 1933 in Gaston County, NC a daughter of the late Hinkle Rayfield, Sr. and Susan Allen Rayfield. She retired after over 40 years as a beautician and owner of Tamar Styling Salon and was owner of Fourshee's Cash and Carry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Fourshee and a son, Dennis Fourshee.
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Fourshee Lee (Alan) and Tammy Stroupe; two brothers, Rev. Hinkle Rayfield, Jr. and Timothy "Timmy" Rayfield all of Bessemer City; three sisters, Virginia "Duck" Fields of Belmont; Inez Black of Salisbury and Robin Wells of Weddington; four grandchildren, Shane Ingram, Brent Stroupe, Auston Fourshee and Meghan Muskelly and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.
Burial will be at Arrowood Baptist Church Cemetery in Bessemer City.
