Obituary for Elizabeth Dease Lynn

Cherryville – Mrs. Elizabeth Bridges “Libby” Dease Lynn, 79, entered into her eternal rest on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Country Time Inn of Kings Mountain.

Libby was born on May 8, 1943 in Lincoln County, NC, a daughter of the late William Carl Bridges and Annie Goins Bridges. She was retired from Carolina Care in Cherryville as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Libby was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville and attended Jesus Servant Ministries. In her own words, Libby “loved the Lord Jesus, family and friends.” A cherished memory of the early part of her retirement years was “walking on the beach, where it is so serene, and those close walks and talks with the Lord.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Bridges Beam and Marlene Bridges Rhyne and a brother, Bill Bridges.

Survivors include her husband William Carroll Lynn; her son Dean Dease and wife Jan, granddaughters M’Lynn and Abigail; her son Jeffery Dease and wife Shana, grandchildren Caleb, Jared, Carson and Emma, great grandchildren Elly and Henry; her brother Robert “Bob” Bridges and many precious nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 10:45am to 11:45am on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.

Burial will be at City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
