Obituary for Kathy Sigmon
Cherryville - Mrs. Kathy Bryson Sigmon, 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.
Kathy was born on November 1, 1963 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Jane Dyer Bryson Crooks and R.L. Bryson, Jr. of Shelby. She was a CNA in Gaston and Lincoln Counties. Kathy was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville.
In addition to her mother, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty Sigmon; a sister, Patsy Whitesides and two brothers, Steve and Randall Bryson.
Survivors in addition to her father include two brothers, Jerry Bryson (Gail) of Lincolnton; Jim Bryson (Joyce) of Hayesville; a special friend Geraldine Anthony; caregivers and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Don and Robin Sigmon; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ricky and Teena Sigmon; sisters-in-law Renee Sigmon and Sandra Williams (Randy). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Sigmon officiating.
Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
