Obituary for Joyce Boone Lee
Gastonia - Mrs. Joyce Boone Lee, 83, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
Mrs. Lee was born in Buncombe County, NC on April 25, 1939 a daughter of the late William Dallas Boone and Lula Elizabeth Ball Boone. She was retired from Uniroyal Chemical Company. Mrs. Lee attended Jesus Servant Ministries in Cherryville. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Donald Lee; the father of her children, Jimmy Edward Heffner, Sr. and a son Jimmy Heffner, Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Heffner of Gastonia; five sons, Ken Heffner (Debbie), Donnie Heffner, Mark Heffner (Donna), Keith Heffner (Leslie) and Randy Heffner (Tammy); a sister, Mildred Dudley of Adrian, GA; 11 grandchildren, Blue Presley, Gray Presley, Tori Lee, Jimmy Wayne Heffner, Timmy Heffner, Tuesday Heffner, Sommer Heffner, Ashley Cooke, Tia Scruggs, Whitney Powers and Colby Heffner and also surviving are numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home of Randy and Tammy Heffner, 400 Crown Creek Drive, Cherryville, NC 28021.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Heffner officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
