Obituary for Gregory Jenkins
Cherryville - Mr. Gregory Eugene "Catfish" Jenkins, 61, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at his residence.
Greg was born on January 6, 1961 in Lincoln County, NC a son of the late Robert Wayne Jenkins, Sr. and Hazeline Mauney Jenkins. He was retired as a truck driver for Houser Transport in Vale. Greg was a member of Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wayne "Bobby" Jenkins, Jr. and a nephew, Samuel Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Angela Huggins Jenkins of the home; a sister, Ann Davis and husband Arnold of North Myrtle Beach, SC; nieces, Christina Hamilton, Karen Nunez, Tammy Heffner (Randy), Allison Abernathy (Brandon), Ansley Abernathy and Sydney Abernathy; nephews, Jeremy Hamilton (Autumn), Johnny Brooks (Andy) Colby Heffner (Summer).
The family will receive friends from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church and at other times the family will be at the home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with the Revs. Bobby Holtsclaw, Jimmy Rudisill, Mike Fox and Randy Heffner officiating.
Burial will be private at a later date.
