Obituary for Glenn "Son" Randall
Cherryville - Mr. Glenn "Son" Randall, 88, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Randall was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on March 21, 1933 a son of the late Lector Lee Randall and Edna Mae Sigmon Randall. He was graduate of Cherryville High School and was a great athlete. Mr. Randall enjoyed playing tennis. He retired as a driver from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation after 42 years of service.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Randall; a brother J.L. Randall and two sisters, Merlyn Carpenter and Betty Black.
Survivors include a daughter, Terri Valentine (Doug Randall); a son Tracy Randall (Shelly Cogdill) both of Cherryville; a daughter-in-law Kristi Randall of Hendersonville; a sister, Ann Ramsey of Cherryville; four grandchildren, Jordan Randall, Dane Randall, Kelly Maxwell and Casey Burgess and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Lowe officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service. At other times the family will be at the home of his daughter, Terri Valentine.
Burial will be private.
