Obituary for Donna P. Jaecksch
Cherryville, NC - Mrs. Donna P. Jaecksch, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.
Donna was born on July 23, 1952 in Margaretville, NY a daughter of the late Robert Wray Holliday and Nancy Sheldon Holliday. She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Paul Jaecksch and her children Randall Smith (Spouse Alaina), Valerie Jaecksch (Spouse Eric Knight), Josette Bailey (Spouse Ty), and Shauna Jaecksch-Ford (spouse Bernia). She also leaves three sisters, Karen Holliday, Cynthia Holliday and Leslie Monahan (Spouse Jay) and seven grandchildren: Rebecca, Crystal, Kyle, Brenna, Brittany, Isabel and Charlie.
Donna was creative and loved to quilt and paint with watercolors. While living in Lake City, SC she was a featured artist at the Art Fields festival in 2016. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cherryville, singing Alto in the choir and making shawls as part of their Prayer Shawl Ministry. She enjoyed reading, traveling and playing railroad games with her family.
Visitation will be from 12:45PM to 1:45PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Cherryville.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Zack Christy officiating.
