Obituary for Jean T. Morrison
Cherryville - Mrs. Betty Jean Trammell Morrison, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Atrium Health - Main in Charlotte.
Mrs. Morrison was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on May 1, 1932 a daughter of the late Lee Trammell and Josephine Gray Trammell. She was retired from Dora Mill in Cherryville. Mrs. Morrison was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Cherryville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell E. Morrison; a sister, Mae Dedmond; three brothers, J.D., James and Pee Wee Trammell.
Survivors include three sons, Kenny Morrison and wife Karen; Rusty Morrison all of Cherryville and Bobby Martin and wife Patricia of Vale; eight grandchildren, Shellie Stephenson (Robert), Haley Morrison, Chris Morrison, Tony Morrison, Tyler Shurley, Dalton Storms, DeDee Williams (Andy) and Summer Williams (Russell); twelve great grandchildren, Taylor, Clayton and Kennadee Price; Alec Stephenson, Zac Stephenson, Tucker Stephenson, Jerry Hearn, Sammy Elliott, Shane, Isaac, Josie and Rhett Williams; one great-great granddaughter, Penelope Hearn; a brother Ray Trammell (Sherry); two sisters, Margie Martin and Elizabeth "Sissy" Lanier all of Cherryville.
Visitation will be from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Murray and Buster Griffin officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherryville.
