Obituary for Barbara Joy
Cherryville - Mrs. Barbara Tate Joy, 83, formerly of Bessemer City, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Somerset Court in Cherryville.
Barbara was born on June 24, 1938 in Gaston County, NC a daughter of the late Dalton Britton Tate and Viola Hamrick Tate. She retired as a waitress.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Donald Richard Sarvis.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Sloan Sarvis of Cherryville and Sidney Sarvis of Bessemer City and one grandson, Clint Biddix.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
