Obituary for Marie Huss Sigmon
Cherryville - Mrs. Marie Huss Sigmon, 92, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her residence.
Mrs. Sigmon was born on April 30, 1930 in Lincoln County, NC a daughter of the late Noah Carse Huss, Sr. and Mary Ava Bess Huss. She was retired as a registered nurse. Mrs. Sigmon was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cherryville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Sigmon; stepmother, Sarah Huss; three sisters, Christine Dixon, Mabel Greene and Thelma Hoyle; five brothers, Boyce, Harry, Roger, Donald and John Huss.
She is survived by sons, Ronald Sigmon and Scott (Brenda) Sigmon of Cherryville, granddaughters Casey (Ricky) Morris and Paige Sigmon , great-grandchildren Zaylie, Avery, and Memphis Morris, brothers Edwin Huss (Ginger) of Crouse, and N.C. Huss, Jr. (Phyllis) of Lincolnton, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Paulette Huss, Billie Huss, Dot Sigmon, Patricia and Larry Schubert, Martel Sigmon, Tim and Becky Sigmon, numerous nieces and nephews, and caregiver Debbie Austin.
The family will receive friends from 11:30AM to 12:45AM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church in Cherryville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Bill Lowe officiating.
Burial will follow the service in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
